Learning/Testing Centers
The Learning Enhancement Centers (LECs) are located on the Patterson Campus in Building J, and on the Trenholm campus in Building F. The LECs are staffed with personnel to assist all Trenholm students with the following: English, Math, and Reading Skills; how to study effectively; questions regarding coursework for program majors; job search techniques including resume writing; and career planning. The LECs support programs at the college by providing computer-assisted instruction, and Internet-based and multimedia learning systems. State-of-the-art computers with access to the Internet are available for student research and accessing the Alabama Virtual Library. The LECs also serve as the College Assessment Centers and are responsible for administering entrance assessments for students. New or prospective students are encouraged to visit the LECs, meet with the staff, and address any questions they might have concerning programs of study offered at Trenholm State Technical College. Students who have special needs are encouraged to talk with Learning Center personnel about any additional support they may require.
